چکیده

We show that in 3-3-1 models there exist a natural relation among the SU(3)L coupling constant g, the electroweak mixing angle θW , the mass of the W , and one of the vacuum expectation values, which implies that those models can be realized at low energy scales and, in particular, even at the electroweak scale. So that, being that symmetries realized in Nature, new physics may be really just around the corner.

Double protection of the Higgs potential

A mechanism of double protection of the Higgs potential, by supersymmetry and by a global symmetry, is investigated in a class of supersymmetric models with the SU(3)C × SU(3)W × U(1)X gauge symmetry. In such models the electroweak symmetry can be broken with no fine-tuning at all. Email:[email protected] Email:[email protected] Email:[email protected] Email:[email protected] Stabiliz...

Cp Violaing Phases in Susy Gut Models *

Supersymmetric CP violating phases are examined within the framework of gravity mediated supergravity grand unified models with R parity invariance for models with a light (< ∼ 1 TeV) particle spectrum. In the minimal model, the nearness of the t quark Landau pole naturally suppresses the t-quark cubic soft breaking parameter at the electroweak scale allowing the electron and neutron experiment...

A fine tuned hierarchy between a strongly coupled high energy compos-iteness scale and a much lower chiral symmetry breaking scale is a requisite ingredient in many models of dynamical electroweak symmetry breaking. Using a nonperturbative continuous Wilson renormalization group equation approach, we explore the stability of such a hierarchy against quantum fluctuations. Many of the currently s...

The question of CP violating phases in supersymmetry and electric dipole moments (EDMs) is considered within the framework of supergravity grand unification (GUT) models with a light (< ∼1 TeV) mass spectrum. In the minimal model, the nearness of the t-quark Landau pole automatically suppresses the t-quark cubic soft breaking phase at the electroweak scale. However, current EDM data require the...

Constraints on the SU(3) Electroweak Model

We consider a recent proposal by Dimopoulos and Kaplan to embed the electroweak SU(2)L × U(1)Y into a larger group SU(3)W × SU(2) × U(1) at a scale above a TeV. This idea is motivated by the prediction for the weak mixing angle sin θW = 1/4, which naturally appears in these models so long as the gauge couplings of the high energy SU(2) and U(1) groups are moderately large. The extended gauge dy...
